Dr.
Dan Khanna is an entrepreneur, business
executive, professor, and a scholar
with twenty-five years experience with
Silicon Valley firms, including sixteen
years as a CEO. The three firms
he co-founded involved application software,
knowledge management, and a B2B portal.
In
addition to his business career, Dan
has twelve years of concurrent academic
experience teaching Silicon Valley
managers, executives, and professionals’
business strategies, entrepreneurship,
international business, information
technology, and e-commerce courses
at San Francisco Bay Area universities.
He is a Distinguished Teaching Award
winner.
Dan
is the founder of eKnowledge. He is
an acclaimed presenter of seminars

strategies, designing new business
models, new rules of competing in
the knowledge economy, and knowledge
management.
Dan
started his career in Silicon Valley
designing IT systems, then advanced
to manage network systems, directed
new product development groups, and
then to senior management positions
in marketing, engineering, IT, and
operations with full profit and loss
responsibilities. His industry experience
includes computers, communications,
networking, Internet, and e-commerce
firms, such as Rolm Corporation, Nestar
Systems, Cosmosys International, Electronic
Images, Engineering Circuit Research,
and Avex Electronics.
His
book The
Rise, Decline, and Renewal of Silicon
Valley’s High Technology Industry,
was highly acclaimed as a scholarly
book and was sold out. He has published
other articles and white papers. Dan's
research focuses on designing new
strategies and business models.
Dan
holds a BS in EE&IE from California
Polytechnic State University, MBA
from Santa Clara University, and a
PhD in Business (Technology).
